Shipping, Returns and Product Policy
Niels Peeraer accessories are handmade from vegetable tan leather with brass and flash gold plated fittings. As all items are hand crafted from vegetable tan leather, imperfections might occur, making each item unique in nature. Small imperfections on the leather/hardware, handcraft won't be accepted as defective. By placing an order, customer states to be aware of above mentioned characteristics of our products.

- Europe: Postal (3-7 days) 18€ / UPS Express (1-2days) 35€

- Worldwide: Postal (1-2 weeks) 45€ / UPS express (2-3 days excl. custom clearance) 95/140€
- XL shipments are not offered for free and may depend on the size of the bag
*Note: buying extra lage or multiple items in the same order might result in increased shipping charges.
We use UPS/Postal for all deliveries, and therefore are unable to deliver to PO boxes, we do not offer Saturday delivery.
Once payment is cleared we usually ship the next business day, but might take up to 3 business days before ship out. (unless otherwise notified) Upon which we will provide you the tracking number provided. For estimate delivery time please check your tracking number provided or go to ups.com
If customer has provided an incorrect address or details, refuse to sign for the ordered package or if the parcel is not being picked up at the pick up point (in the case of missed delivery attempt) we will have to charge an additional fee to resend the shipment to you.
Niels Peeraer is not responsible for any delays caused by destination customs clearance processes. A signature is required for any goods delivered, at which point responsibility for your purchase goods is passed to you.
Postal service is less secure and does not show clear tracking. Niels Peeraer is not liable for lost or damaged parcels using postal shipping.
IMPORT DUTIES AND TAXES TO DESTINATIONS OUTSIDE OF THE EU
If you order products for delivery outside the EU, they may be subject to import duties and taxes which are levied when the delivery reaches the specified destination. You will be responsible for payment of any such import duties and taxes. Please note that we have no control over these charges and cannot predict their amount. Please contact your local customs office for further information and an estimate of their cost before placing your order.
Niels Peeraer is not responsible for any fees charged by customs. If you decide to refuse any shipments from Niels Peeraer, you are responsible for the original shipping charges, duties, taxes and customs charges that are incurred on both the original and returned shipment. In this event, this amount will be deducted from your refund on your original payment.
SALES & DISCOUNT CODES
Only regular priced items are legible for return/refund. Items bought on sale or discount are not legible and can't be refunded/returned under any circumstances.
Discount codes are only applicable for newsletter subscribers, and only 1 code can be applied per order. Discount % codes can not be used on Made To Order items or items already discounted.
Niels Peeraer serves the right to adjust or remove any item from sales and remove discount code at any point in time, regardless of any dates or announcement stated prior. Sales items are only offered as long as stock lasts.
RETURNS & REFUNDS
Our return policy lasts 7 days. If 7 days have gone by since you received your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund. Before proceeding with a return, please send us a request with the reason of return at firstname.lastname@example.org. Request for return due to damage or defectives need to be illustrated by clear photos of the bag in whole, as well as the detail. Returns without prior consent from our side will be rejected, and possibly send back on your expense.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it, including the original packaging. We are not responsible for any damage occurred during shipment to items you send back to us.
To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.
Only items purchased on shop.nielspeeraer.com are applicable for return.
There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted (if applicable)
Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error, will be rejected from any refund, partial are in whole.
Refunds (if applicable)
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.
Shipping charges are non-refundable. If shipping charges were higher than payed by client, Niels Peeraer serves the right to deduct those extra charges when refunding the order.
Late or missing refunds (if applicable)
If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.
If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund yet, please contact us at email@example.com.
No exchanges are accepted, only refunds.
Prior to any returns, please send us a request at firstname.lastname@example.org, returns without prior consent from our side will be rejected.
You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the shipping cost/charges will be deducted from your refund.
Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.
If you are shipping back an item, you should consider using a trackable shipping service and/or purchasing shipping insurance. Make sure to forward us the tracking number upon ship out to prevent packages getting lost or delayed. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item. Items lost/damaged in transport will not be compensated if our instructions were not followed.
SALE ITEMS, SAMPLES, MADE TO ORDER AND PRE-ORDER

Made-to-order or Pre-Ordered items are not legible for refund/return under any circumstances. No Cancellations are accepted.
Samples sold on our website have been either: handmade in our Paris atelier which might have been used for showcase/presentation, left over stock or production pieces with small defectives. pieces might show imperfections, scratches or discoloration. As samples are sold under the idea of digitalizing a real life sample-sale, they are sold as displayed and might not be offered with a cotton bag / silk paper packaging as done for pieces from our main collection. Samples are not legible for refund/return or cancellation under any circumstances.
